So the Cure are getting yet another tribute album this October. Perfect as Cats: A Tribute to the Cure drops on Oct. 28th from Manimal Vinyl. The album is a double-disc with 32 tracks of cover-y-goodness. Why do we care?
3 words: Bat for Lashes. AKA one of the UK’s most stirring current musical minds, Natasha Khan. Hot on the heels of her Radiohead support slot, she offers her take on the Cure’s “A Forest,” the only single (and their first charting one) off their 1980 album Seventeen Seconds.
Listen to and download the cover here, and head after the jump to check out the rest of the 2-disc track listing and roster including Dandy Warhols, Indian Jewelry, the Muslims and many more.
